Inky Quest

Privacy policy

Inky Quest · in force from 6 October 2026

The short version. Inky Quest has no adverts, no accounts and nothing to buy, and it does not follow how you play. Your progress stays on your device. Two things can leave it, and each is yours to choose: an error report when the game goes wrong, unless you have switched error reports off in Settings; and, on Android, your achievements and best score to Google Play Games, only if you are signed in to it.

Who we are

Inky Quest is made by Teko Labs. For anything in this policy, write to tekolabs.dev@gmail.com.

What stays on your device

The levels you have cleared, your stars, your best times and best score, and your settings are kept in a file on your device. It is not sent to us. Removing the game removes it.

Error reports

The game tells us when something goes wrong, so that we can fix it. You can switch this off at any time in the game's Settings, under "Error reports", and nothing more is sent from then on.

When the game meets an error, freezes or crashes, it sends a report that holds:

With error reports on, the game also notes each time it is opened and for how long, so that we can tell what share of sessions end in a crash.

A report does not hold your name, your email address, your contacts, your location or anything you have typed, and the random number is not tied to any account. Like any service on the internet, the one that receives the report sees the internet address (IP address) it arrives from.

Reports are received and kept for us by Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.), on its servers in the European Union, in Germany. Sentry handles them on our behalf and only to show them to us. They are deleted automatically after 90 days at most. We use them for one purpose: finding and mending faults in the game.

The ground for this in law is our legitimate interest in finding and fixing what goes wrong in the game, which a report of this kind serves without saying who you are. You may object at any time by switching "Error reports" off in Settings, and nothing more is sent from then on.

Google Play Games, on Android

On Android the game works with Google Play Games for achievements and a table of best scores. If you are signed in to Play Games, the game tells Google which achievements you have earned and your best score, and Google shows them in your Play Games profile and, for scores, to other players as your Play Games settings allow.

The game does not read your name, your email address or your Play Games profile, and it keeps nothing about your Google account. What Google does with what it holds is covered by Google's own privacy policy, and you can sign the game out, or delete your Play Games data, from the Play Games app.

What the game does not do

On Android the game asks for two permissions: to use the internet, which is how an error report and Play Games reach their servers, and to vibrate.

Children

Inky Quest has no chat, no adverts and nothing to buy. It collects nothing from anyone, a child included, beyond the error reports described above, which can be switched off in Settings. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a report was sent from your child's device that you would like removed, write to us and we will delete what we can find.

Your choices and your rights

You can switch error reports off in Settings, sign out of Play Games, or remove the game, at any time.

You may ask us what we hold that came from your device, and ask us to delete it. Because a report carries no name, tell us roughly when it was sent and from what kind of device, so that we can find it. If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, the law also gives you the right to have mistakes corrected, to object, and to complain to your data protection authority.

Changes to this policy

If the game changes what it sends, this page will change first, and the date at the top with it.
